Top Tips For Children's Bath Time Fun
You can lead a child to water but you cannot make it bathe. Some can't stay still long enough, some don't like the feeling of being wet and some might not want to wash of the pen they drew on themselves. As anyone who has children will know, they can be mightily stubborn so trying to force them to do anything will always end in misery. All is not lost though. Using a few great tricks, you can soon have your child not only bathing regularly but also enjoying it. Here are 3 of the best.
Bath with them.Introducing your child to a bath can be a little scary, but you can make it significantly less so by getting in with them. Children feed off the emotions and actions of their parents a vast amount. If you are relaxed and seem to be having fun in the water, your kids will associate the bath time with enjoyment and will not be reluctant.
Toys.Bathing a child can be made a whole lot more easy by the use of some simple toys or games. There is such a vast selection and many bath toys are things that children don’t get to play with normally. Among the options are things like submarines, balls or water squirters…the list is endless though. Try taking your child to the shops during the day and let them pick which toy the want to play with in the bath. You can bet your bottom dollar that they will want to play with something they picked out
Ritual. When you have settled into a routine that both child and parent enjoy, it is vital that you do not change it. You'd be amazed what children will tolerate as long as they are confident they know what they will be doing. It is only when something different is introduced that they react. If you follow each bath time with bed time story, with your child tucked in bed with their baby doll, they will sleep well and night times will always run smoothly
